Located in a rural area on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth, which is one of the Republic of South Africa’s major seaports and is located in the south side of the country, the test site was a town that had relatively higher concerns for safety due to low overall illumination and some overly dark zones at night. To solve this problem, a new high mast solution has been adopted using Maloolighting MMA 400W products.

Illumination levels have been significantly improved and particularly shadowy areas have been eliminated to ensure comfortable and safe living conditions at night. This safety guarantee has been backed by analysis performed post-installation; crime and accident rates have been shown to be reduced in the analysis.
